I have been watching the Bradley/Matusow Primary saga from Florida. Your web site is the most up-to-date, in-depth around. It's great for out-of-towners who want to keep up on news at home. I've found it more useful than The Journal News. You never skip a beat. It's the next best thing to being there. -- Lynne Finer, former WP Resident

WPCNR VOX POPULI. August 20, 2002: On the day of Naomi Matusow's Public Hearing on Indian Point risk assessment in Chappaqua's Town Hall at 7:30 this evening, a New Castle Democrat analyzes the Matusow stance.

RE: 89th Assembly race shenanigans
Assemblywoman Naomi Matusow, 89th A.D., appears to have finally gotten religion about the public safety issues surrounding Indian Point just days before the September 10th Democratic Primary.
In Matusow's effort to rewrite history, Naomi has twice taken the name of Riverkeeper without permission and used it in her last two campaign pieces. The most recent one arrived late last Thursday-it was "franked" mail which arrived less than 30 days before the election.
The premier reason why the New Castle Democrats didn't endorse her is because she has been missing in action on the public safety issues surrounding Indian Point-always saying it wasn't a state issue. As a result, she never confronted Andy Spano-her mentor, when he certified the phony evacuation plan, never mind giving Gov. Pataki an earache when he signed that wretched evacuation plan. Matusow's "not my job" philosophy no longer works in these trying times.
Thankfully voters in the 89th Assembly District have a real choice in Adam Bradley, a reformer who can't be bought.
