WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. August 12, 2006: A reader notes the Urban Renewal Agency windfall from the "Miracle IDA" legislation passed Friday by the Urban Renewal Agency:

Let me get this straight. This one Ginsburg project will bring the City of White Plains $969,000 in various fees? Does anyone care to guess how much money the Westchester County Industrial Development Agency has collected in these "fees" for all of the other development that has occurred in WP in the last ten years? For former mayor Alfred DelVecchio to pretend that it makes no sense for WP to have an IDA of its own is laughable.
