WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. July 27, 2006: A reader feels the Common Council should support policies and not be neutral on issues:
Mr Albanese does not believe our Common Council members should take a public position in favor of the policies of the United States, the support of Israel? Perhaps Mr Hockley and Mayor Delfino felt they were personally supporting Israel with their attendance at this function, this appears to be okay with Mr. Albanese. A WPCNR reader has made their attendance public knowledge. Would Mr. Albanese prefer that no one be made aware of their personal support, as it makes the other Council members appear or to be labeled "insensitive"? Should we keep their support secret from the press? Are not WPCNR readers entitled to their opinions, just as Mr. Albanese is?
