WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. July 26, 2006: A reader chides the CitizeNetReporter and members of the Common Council for not covering the Temple Israel rally in support of Israel last night and salutes Mayor Delfino for his support of Israel:
I may not be a fan of Mayor Delfino, for my view of the city's current fiscal direction is quite
different than his view. As with all politics, we can respectfully disagree on certain subjects
and yet find a subject of agreement on another level.
I found myself in agreement with Mayor Delfino in his unequivocal support for Israel's right
to exist, and her fight against the terrorists who are on a manifest destiny to destroy all
Jews worldwide.

Last night Temple Israel hosted a rally to support Israel in her fight to exist. I am a
journalist, so you will have to read the Journal News to get the whole story.
It is sad to say that here on this web-site which is supposed to represent the entire community of White
Plains. Where was the Citizen Net Reporter, the White Plains Times, and the rest of our
council? The only other elected official I saw last night was Glen Hockley.
The Journal News, and Channel 12 showed up to report on this standing room only event
with over 1200 people from our community in attendance.
The party leaders of White Plains should be ashamed of themselves, for not coming out
to support the only democratic state in the Mid-East. This is a sad day in White Plains
learning that 5 synagogues are snubbed by our local home-grown media, and our elected
officials.

THE CITIZENETREPORTER REPLIES: Yours truly was not informed by any synagogue or organizer of this event. If I am not notified of the event, I cannot cover it. I am often informed by churches in the community of events that give me the option of covering, but I cannot "divine" spur of the moment events.
