WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. July 25, 2006: A longtime critic of the Mayor and Power supporter writes:
John,
One question Tim and others leave out - why did the Mayor vote for Dennis? Was the Mayor uninformed? Didn't he solicit an opinion before the vote?
Was he unwise in not soliciting an opinion before the vote? Does this mean his votes are not fully thought out? If the issue of conflict is as clear as some legal geniuses say (what, no case law, advisory opinions of the Atty General, ethics opinions?) did the mayor violate his duty to the citizens and play politics as well?
I say, as the growing chorus of others now do as well, why don't we televise the closed door, back room Council sessions when they don't have anything to do with proprietary/employment sesitivities?
Hey Tim: 255 Main St - that's where the real back room deals are made, just like in Brooklyn! - no need to go so far south - it's right here! Talk about crude politics- does anyone talk about the Mayor and the Republican Party USING Alexis by pushing her into taking a Council seat for their own interests? NOOOOOOOOOO!! What The Mayor and others did was cruel to the Greer family and gave Alexis a false hope. Shame on you for using this girl in her time of grief - she should have been kept out of this fray.
But hey, that's White Plains! It's getting to look real dirty around here isn't it?
