WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. July 13, 2006: A reader suggests Democratic Party should not give a candidate (Dennis Power) rejected by voters a second chance for elective office
I moved to White Plains about three years ago and was introduced to your site by a fellow resident. I have enjoyed the openness and articles that have been written by you and your readers. Although I am registered as a Democrat, I am a bit confused about the electoral process regarding what happens when a Council Member passes, resigns etc.

I have been impressed with White Plains and chose to live here when I was looking for a Condo in an area that had everything I needed and was close to Metro North for my commute to the city.
I do agree with some of your past readers comments regarding Mr. Power and Mr. Greer’s daughter. I did not vote for Mr. Powers since I believed The Current Administration was on target, at least for what I needed as a single person. One of your readers, Henry Ferlauto stated, . “The public rejected his ideas and vision.” Why are the Democrats still putting his name in the ballot? In addition, I have to agree with Mssrs. Seidel and Ferlauto regarding Mr. Greer’s Daughter. . I am sure that there are many other citizens in White Plains that are more qualified to run my city.
