Open Space Organizational Meeting Monday. Posted on Thursday, June 08 @ 20:54:22 EDT by jfbailey

Toast of the Town!

WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. June 8, 2006: The following is from longtime open space advocate, Allan Teck:

A special meeting is planned for all citizens concerned about the vanishing open space in

the city and the impact this loss has on our environment and our suburban way of life.

Presidents of several neighborhood associations will discuss threatened properties in their neighborhoods, where the situation stands and what can be done. The need will be quickly

apparent for all of us to work together to protect that which makes our city beautiful, to keep our environment healthy and safe and to preserve the gifts of nature for our children and the

 generations that follow.

Neighborhoods that will be represented by speakers include: Battle Hill, Woodcrest Heights. WP Downtown Assn, North Broadway; Havilands Manor, North Street Area Civic; Highlands, Prospect Park; Rocky Dell/Reynal Park, Gedney Assn,  and others.

Please join us, listen to others and make your thoughts known.

When:  Monday, June 12, 8:00 P.M.

Where: Asbury Hall

United Memorial Methodist Church, 250 Bryant Ave.

Sponsored by Concerned Citizens for Open Space
