No offence taken. No one should be so thin-skinned that they find criticism and challenges offensive and are unwilling to explain their positions.
With the background that you provided, it seems that the real issue is the need to treat residential and commercial properties differently for taxing purposes. Not unreasonable, since they are already treated differently for planning and support purpose. That is just not equivalent to stating that all reassessment is evil.
