Letters to WPCNR, Filed by Haviland Manor Citzen, 3/28/02:Editor: I'm writing to express complete agreement with the comments posted by " Ridgehawk " on March 27 regarding the Delgado-Hockley situation. I'm sure Mr. Hockley is an able representative for the city of White Plains but, there is a larger issue here.
I am a resident of the Havilands neighborhood and while I'm very
disappointed that the candidate that I voted for is not in office, at
least I feel that my vote was counted. I feel truly sorry for Ridgehawk
and all of the people from district 18 that voted for Mr. Delgado whose
votes were not counted at all!
Last I checked, we are still living in White Plains, New York, United
States of America, these people have been left out of the democratic
process! and this is what I and I'm sure many other voters find most
disturbing.
The courts, the Attorney General, the Legislature, the Governor, (somebody ), really needs to take a look at this situation and do
something about it because this is not only about the wrong that has
been done to Mr. Delgado as a candidate but also to the tax paying
citizens of White Plains!
