WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. March 16, 2006: Another instance of the timing of White Plains ticket meters being a costly nuance of White Plains parking by not allowing enough time for an extended meeting, submitted by a WPCNR reader:

Regarding the Pelham resident who got a parking ticket during the St. Patrick's Day Parade: 

Try this on for size - Since there is no visitor parking for the Mamaroneck Ave. Elementary School on Nosband Ave., parents have gotten tickets when they volunteer during the day or have conferences/meetings etc. 

There is only one hour parking across the street from the school AND apparently if you park there for an hour and leave and come back later, they count that as being parked for more than an hour.  So much for being involved in your child's education!
