Dear Mr. Bailey,
After reading your anonymous posting I thought for a moment and realized that the writer really doesn't understand the nature of planning and how to project the viability of a project upon the full scale of the existing built environment.
Sophocles sums it up: " One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been." The writer could wait until he or she is dead, thank you very much, to measure the impact of what we decide now. I like to project prudently...quarter century at a time, therefore, I could hope to be around to effect change that would benefit us all.
Perhaps your writer ought to step up and lead. I'm curious to see what would come of it.
