WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. February 14, 2006: A reader notes that a fixture of the White Plains Planning Board was not invited back for anothe term, and asks for an explanation:
Bob Stackpole was not reappointed to the Planning Board because he dared to make critical comments about the haphazard, inscrutable, mercenary, and irrational planning by our Planning Department, the Mayor, and developers. I think the White Plains CitizenNetReporter should certainly be given the reason(s) for the refusal to reappoint Stackpole from our Mayor . Stackpole's experience, knowledge, and dedication were an invaluable asset to the city. The purpose of his comments was to encourage better planning to make the city a better place to live.
