Gedney STILL out
As of 3 am on Fri, ConEd and the City STILL have no handle on restoring the Gedney Area. It's not like we had Katrina up here.
A talk with a ConEd field engineer indicated ConEd had no idea this was going to be a storm like we had - they WERE unprepared for this. And the City's response is abominable - there is NO response.
Our area has been sacrificed and it's a shame. Maybe our mayor can lend a hand with bailing rising basement waters instead of attending parties and gladhanding the public with intact electricity.
Where's the Mayor's walkabout? And where's his personal assessment of our situation? Silence is NOT golden here.
