Stackpole Will Be Missed: Del Vecchio Posted on Tuesday, January 17 @ 11:12:07 EST by jfbailey

Toast of the Town!

WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. January 17, 2006: The former Mayor of White Plains, Alfred Del Vecchio (1976-1993) says farewell to Robert Stackpole (the man who for many symbolized the essence of citizen involvement in city boards and commissions), who will no longer be a member of the Planning Board:

John,
Bob Stackpole will be sorely missed on the Planning Board. He was a critical thinker and a thinking critic who offered sober thought and fearless criticism about planning and fiscal matters that pertained to the city. His training, background and experience were an invaluable asset to the city and his services came at zero cost. His viewpoints were completely apolitical, letting the chips fall where they may. The Planning Board is undergoing major changes which should be monitored very carefully by all who are interested in the major changes taking place. Quo Vadis?

                                                                     Alfred Del Vecchio
