WPCNR MR. & MRS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. December 23, 2005: A reader suggests an addition to the Person of the Year Poll:
An important person is conspicuously missing from your person of the year award. Dennis Power should be the White Plains Person of the year. Dennis Power challenged the developers who have taken our city over by storm. Homeowner taxes are raised as high as city center, and good families are fleeing town to better schools. Parking, traffic, and car accidents are a major problem in our downtown today. Dennis Power would have reigned in the irresponsibility in our city government, and created an open door to the residents at city hall. Almost half of the city spoke by voting for Dennis Power. We cannot be ignored, and your journalism should reflect the voices of the people, who believe Dennis Power should be the White Plains Person of The Year.
