Comments on the Campaign Dialogue. Posted on Tuesday, November 08 @ 03:23:12 EST by jfbailey

Toast of the Town!

WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. November 8, 2005: A few comments, received earlier this week following up on the Albanese- Del Vecchio exchange:

Mr. Bailey, your work speaks for itself as the public forum of significant importance right now.

November 5, 2005

Respectably, Mr. former Mayor Del Vecchio, I commend you as the previous captain of the ship sailing our city towards prudent fiscal management during your administration. I admire your courage to come forth understanding my point, many missed that point, and you did not.  Not only are you and independent thinker, but an independent reader as well.

Mr. Del Vecchio, I disagree with just one of your statements,  “I do hate what he has done to this city.” Meaning you hate what Mayor Delfino has done to the city. You neglect to hate what all six other Common Council Members did to the city, and any others involved in the decision making process.

I only hate some of the things all seven did to the city, meaning all of the administration, all that vote, manage and have the power to do so, good or bad.

It is the process by which I bring to the attention of the voter of how decision-making is conducted – approved in government.  Let us never just singularly only hold the captain responsible for sailing the ship or sinking it.

Do we not have independent thinkers on the Common Council?  Thinkers capable of making their own prudent decisions for the citizens of White Plains. Take pride in what you vote in or vote out concerning taxpayer’s dollars.

This is our city, the citizen’s city, our homes are families we elect representatives to do the right thing.  Don’t hide behind your decisions prior to an election, be proud of them, stick by them, sail through the storm of public disharmony and finish a job well done.

Take accountability and be proud, stop this un-united administration party bashing.  We are all in this collectively and must see the good, work towards the good and learn to work for the good of all of us!

That is my point, my only point I leave your readers with for Tuesday November 8th.

Thank you,
Mr. Del Vecchio
Mr. Bailey

Carl Albanese
Independent Voter & Thinker
