Reader Comments on Cross-Endorsement by Del Vecchio & Schulman Posted on Wednesday, October 26 @ 11:50:39 EDT by jfbailey

Toast of the Town!

WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. October 26, 2005: WPCNR's exclusive report that former Mayors Alfred Del Vecchio and Sy Schulman have endorsed Dennis Power for Mayor has prompted this commentary:

The cross party endorsement of Dennis Power by two previous mayors from separate political parties standing together indicate to me that we need new management in our city.  These two men standing side by side are letting me know that the current administration is not taking care of the local taxpayer.

Our tax dollars paid for the City Center garage, our taxes were raised at record levels these past eight years, and the sliver of a concrete park with a commercial Starbucks  is too loud to sit in with the noise of truck traffic and music blaring into the air. There is a major traffic problem in downtown, poor quality signage on the fake window at the City Center let us not forget that and movie theaters are losing money across the country.

Let us not forget ...the mayor utilized 501 c 3 non-profits for his campaign advantage.  The attorney general has the right to investigate this further.   What other illegal activities are going on behind the closed doors of City Hall that we are not privy too?  It's time to clean-up the mess before it gets too unmanageable for our city to grasp.
