WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. October 26, 2005: Dennis Power's Campaign Manager, Paul Schwarz responds to charges of "plants" in the League of Women Voters Debate last week:
Dear WPCNR:
One of your anonymous readers was upset that Dennis Power had notes and was anticipating a question about parking. Anyone who is open minded and has listened to residents recently knows that parking is on the top of the list of current complaints. Of course he was prepared to talk about that and other citizen concerns. Mr. Power had information on that and other topics in his head, and at his fingertips. Isn't that what you want in a Mayor?
Your anonymous reader should rather have been upset that the present Mayor was unprepared. That he came with neither notes nor knowledge to talk about this or any other citizen concerns. And dubbed them, alas, "minutiae". That he came, as he does habitually, to take sole credit for everything under the sun, as his latest slick flyer repeats. By the way, is anyone asking who funded this $250,000 campaign? Why not?
