WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. October 25, 2005: A reader viewing the Mayoral debate last night, suggests Power knew questions were coming:
After viewing the debate for the first time on Public Access last night, it is easy to see that the "minutiae" remark was something seized upon by the Power campaign as a much needed tag line. If Mr. Power thinks he is going to be able to personally answer every single resident correspondence he has no idea what he is getting himself into. Government would grind to a halt while he responded to a resident's request to ban all trucks and motorycles from North and South Broadway (an actual request). Unfortunately the audience member that sparked the "minutiae" comment never responded if a government official had responded to his "repeated"requests, and what his request was.
Another question I have was why were many questions posed by the audience read from a sheet of paper? This only occurred to me when a parking question was posed and candidate Powers immediately had a graphically designed WP parking sticker ready for the camera. Perhaps Mr. Power could respond here as how he knew a parking question was going to be asked?
Sincerely,
WPcitizen
