WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. October 11, 2005: A reader responds to a fellow Democrat's criticism of Dennis Power's campaign for Mayor:
Mr. Lazerwitz and his take on the Democratic campaign shows he may need to be watching City Hall much more than on TV from his couch. Contrary to his point, I HAVE seen mayoral candidate Dennis Power at Common Council, and he's no stranger to the greater White Plains community. He's out getting things done. Not parading around on TV.

In fact, anyone who knows of Mr. Power's reputation around White Plains knows that as well as serving on Common Council himself, he's been a saving grace to our community in need. I know that he's headed up several community efforts and has always served the citizens at large well.
The true questions Mr. Lazerwitz should be asking is, "Why are my taxes going up despite Delfino's sweetheart deals with Capelli, et al?"
"What has Delfino done for me lately?"
And most of all, "Do I really know Dennis Power's platform?" Had Mr. Lazerwitz read it, he'd see that there actually are solutions to our city's problems from Power.
Unlike Mr. Lazerwitz, I'll choose on election day for a fresh alternative from Delfino's rising taxes and parking nightmares.
