WPCNR West Side Story. By John F. Bailey. June 27, 2005: When Charlie Booth completes his last day as Executive Director of  The Slater Center Thursday, he will be replaced by Heather Miller, presently working with Westchester County's homeless network, as Mr. Booth put it.

Booth said Ms. Miller worked with him for 22 years at the Slater Center as his Administrative Assistant, and then developing programs for the Center and as a fundraiser. He said she personally was responsible for raising over $200,000 for the Slater Center through her writing of grants proposals. He said she had arranged a $50,000 grant from Verizon and other monies from The United Way and other philanthropic organizations. She has also worked for the YWCA.
