WPCNR MR. & MRS. & MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. JUNE 25, 2005:  A CNR reader notes the recent eminent domain ruling by the Supreme Court and has a suggestion as to how it can be avoided in White Plains:

Dear John, 

If you are passionate about that idea as many of us here in White Plains who value property rights are, these values and rights we hold so dear - people died in wars for these rights, why not put that in the vision statement - that no government shall take by eminent domain any private property for the use in any project, whether it be called urban renewal or rezoning, by another private developer so that the developer can make his/her project?
