WPCNR BROWNOUT REPORT. June 15, 2005: In response to our call for citizens to report blackouts or brownouts in White Plains, a citizen from Wardman Avenue reports there was an additional power out last Saturday evening, prior to the Sunday fade-to-black in the Highlands. The report:
Hi John,
On Wardman St we had a momentary power outage last Saturday, June 11 at approximately 6:15. Our carbon monoxide detector makes a shrieking noise when this happens, giving us a rude awakening. I did not report it.

Yesterday power failed to over 6,000 residents in the Ozone Park neighborhood of Queens, CBS News reported this morning that Con Edison gave no reason for that blackout, which follows on the heels of last week's 2-day Staten Island power outage that the Staten Island Borough President complained bitterly about Con Edison ability to deliver service and explanations for the blackout. No reasons have been given to the media for White Plains documented disturbing pattern of power hiccups over the last year.
