WPCNR MR. AND MRS. AND MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. January 14, 2004: A writer at her wit's end describes a situation she faces in her present living situation at Winbrook. Here is her story. If anyone has some advice on this Catch-22 situation she is facing. Please follow up with comments.
I joined to see if maybe I can get some information.
I live in Winbrook and I am required to get a full time job or go to school full time or else I will have to do community service. But I have medical needs and none of the jobs will offer free medical insurance.
If I was to pay for all of my medical services out of pocket I will be THOUSANDS of dollars in debt. But if I get a job even minimum payment will not make me qualified for Medicaid. What should I do? I don't want to become homeless because of this crazy web of bad luck.
I am only in my 20s and don't have the experience to get a good enough job to move.
