WPCNR MR. AND MS. WHITE PLAINS VOICE. From Anne Farrell. January 6, 2004: The following letter writer was motivated to comment on the Elena Sassower matter, pointing out the importance of unbiased judge appointments:
Dear Mr. Bailey,
Thank you for recognizing the importance of "true justice" in America. It is such a disgrace to realize what really happens in courtrooms across America by judges who are biased or don't know anything about issues they rule on. So much damage is done to decent citizens who become victimized several more times at the whim of these privilaged and appointed judges. They are now partners in crime. They are predators.
I was so delighted but saddened to see Ms. Elena Sassower's name in The Post-Standard's "Opinion Section". I was so relieved that someone else felt as I did. In this article; " A Flawed Process" on January 2003. Ms. Sassower was very mistreated at that hearing and told to "pack her bags" by Sen. DeFrancisco. This article was proof positve of the "systems" bully process.
I joined CJA after I talked to Ms. Sassower.
I applaud Ms. Elena Sassower and nominate her for" Woman of the Year" not only in White Plains but the USA.
Sincerely,
Anne M. Farrell
