WPCNR WHITE PLAINS VOICE. November 14, 2004: A WPCNR reader has written in defense of White Plains CitizeNetReporter journalism, and compares it to other media in the city:
Dear Mr. Bailey,
I am a huge fan of your website. You really do a terrific job. You are one of White Plains’ greatest assets. Please don’t fret over that coward’s letter. You can’t take too seriously, anybody who doesn’t leave his/her name after such a crude and vicious letter. I enjoy all your articles. I found the article you wrote after the convention to be very intelligent, on point and insightful. I admire how you continually scoop the Journal News, most recently on the Ginsburg-Pinnacle project.
It’s a shame you had to receive such a negative letter but you showed courage and exercised journalistic integrity by publishing it.
In my opinion, each day White Plains Citizen Net shows a lot more journalistic integrity than I witness from other news dailies like the Journal News or New York Times. I consider WPCNR to be more relevant and legitimate than those commercialized rags. You deserve nothing but respect and glowing accolades for the work you do on your TV show and website. Thank you very much!
