WPCNR MAIN STREET JOURNAL. From Cappelli Enterprises. October 6, 2004, Updated with Pix, 3:45 P.M. E.D.T.: As final preparations are being made for the October 17th formal opening of the Sales Center for Trump Tower at City Center and The Lofts at City Center – Westchester’s newest luxury residences – buyers for the condominiums are already lining up and over 15 percent (Over 30) of the homes have been spoken for. Since sales began last weekend, more than $25 million in contracts have been signed.

“The level of interest we are seeing is unprecedented in my experience as a developer,” commented Louis R. Cappelli, President of Cappelli Enterprises, the builder of City Center. “Over the last six months we have been keeping a list of the names of people who have expressed interest in buying. We have now begun scheduling the more than 500 people on this list prior to the formal opening of the Sales Center. And the response has been nothing short of astounding. In the first two days in which we had appointments with the first 50 people on this list, over 50 percent resulted in contracts. It’s been truly overwhelming.”
No Doubt About Success Now, Super Developer Says
“Any doubts about the viability of sophisticated, high-rise and loft style living in downtown White Plains fade very quickly when you see this kind of response,” Mr. Cappelli said. “We were very confident that the luxury condominiums at City Center would be a success. But, frankly, the response we have seen in the first two days goes beyond our wildest dreams.”

He said that appointments would continue to be held with all of those on the waiting list leading up to the formal Sales Center opening on October 17. “We plan to continue to work with this VIP list over the next two weeks. At this point, the advantage of buying early is becoming obvious, because the high level of buyer interest we are seeing will inevitably put upward pressure on sales prices.”
Snowbirds and Empty Nesters.
The initial buyers represent a broad cross-section of the market, he explained. “Among the first buyers are ‘snowbirds’ who live in the south in the winter, but want to have a beautiful care-free home in Westchester in the summer and for the holidays. There are ‘empty-nesters’ who are selling large homes they no longer need, but who want maintenance free living offered in Trump Tower and The Lofts at City Center homes. And there are people who work in New York City who want Manhattan-style living that’s priced well below the Manhattan market, yet is only 30 minutes from Grand Central.”
The condominiums at City Center include 212 homes in Trump Tower and 29 homes in The Lofts at City Center. The two new buildings accessed by a courtyard on Martine Avenue are the final components of the $325 million City Center complex that Cappelli is completing in the heart of downtown White Plains. Both Trump Tower and The Lofts will feature ultra-luxurious interior design features throughout the spacious residences. The buildings are scheduled to be ready for occupancy in mid-2005.
The Sales Center that will serve both buildings will formally open at 227 Main Street directly opposite the Renaissance Square fountains in downtown White Plains on Sunday, October 17. The 5,000-square-foot Sales Center will feature an architectural model of the entire City Center site, plus miniature replicas of three residences in Trump Tower and The Lofts. The Sales Center will also feature full-size models of the kitchen, master bath and second bath at Trump Tower, as well as bathrooms and kitchen of The Lofts. The models will show the luxury finishes to be used throughout the residences.

Louis and I understand quality – and that is what we are bringing to this development in White Plains at City Center.
